Himalaya Claims: A soap free, herbal formulation that gently cleanses your face and removes excess oil. Oil Clear Lemon Face Wash is enriched with lemon, an astringent and cooling agent, and honey, which has natural, deep cleansing properties. Unlike soap, your face will not feel dry and stretched. Use regularly for clean, fresh and glowing skin.
Directions: Moisten face and neck; apply a small amount of Oil Clear Lemon Face Wash and gently work up a lather using a circular motion. Wash off and pat dry. Use twice daily. Follow with Himalaya Nourishing Face Moisturizing Lotion. Use Himalaya Clarifying Mud Pack once a week to rejuvenate and revitalize your skin.
Himalaya Oil Clear Face Wash comes in a transparent tube with a dark green colored flip open cap. The face wash looks pretty decent. It has a sort of an aqua theme. The face wash has gel like consistency and it is sea green in color. There are some little blue granules infused in the face wash gel. The Lemon Wash smells like soap to some extent. It also smells like honey a bit! Overall, it has an okay type yet refreshing smell. But yeah, the smell is not that mild.
The face wash lathers pretty nicely and a pea sized amount is enough to use for the entire face and neck. The little granules infused in the face wash are not bothering at all. I thought them to be meant for providing mild exfoliation to the skin but while using, they cannot be felt. They get mixed with the foam of the face wash. I use the face wash as directed and it turned to be a good cleanser. But does it do anything else except cleansing? Let me tell you.
After using the face wash, I can see that Himalaya Lemon Face Wash deeply cleanses my facial skin and removes every single trace of oil, grease, dirt and shine. My face remains oil free for next few hours. The face wash does wash off the skin moisture completely so, skin does not feel that stretchy. May work better in the summer, but while using it in the wintry season, we better keep a light moisturizer handy. And of course, I am happy because this face wash is not one of those nasty products which broke out my skin.
Besides, the product fulfils all of its claims. By the way, the Oil Clear face wash from Himalaya claims to do just two things – to gently cleanse and to remove excess oil. Yup, the claims are definitely very few and with lots of better alternatives flooding the market, I do not think I can call this face wash a winner!
